Michael
Morris is a self-trained artist who has been painting and sculpting
since 1969. He was born at Ramey Fields Air Force Base in Aquadilla,
Puerto Rico in 1954 and is a chemist by profession. Michael interests
also include poetry, composing, writing, music and acting.
After a 22
year hiatus from producing artwork, Michael picked up where he left
off in 2002. Sadly, most of his older works were destroyed in flooding
caused by Hurricane Hortense.
Michael
Morris was awarded first prize in painting (abstract-acrylic), collograph
and cartoon at Puerto Rico's Art Festival of 1972.
