I have been involved in the visual arts most of my life and have studied with a number of artists, both in private lessons and workshops all over the United States.

Over the years I have joined a number of art organizations in order to improve my knowledge and skills in the art field. For the past dozen years, I have been a very active member of the Northwestern Michigan Artists and Craftsmen, having served as President for two years and as a board member for ten years.

I am also a member of the Traverse Area Arts Council and was a member of their board for four years. I am an associate member of the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society, a member of the Missouri Watercolor Society, The Michigan Watercolor Society, the International Society of Layerists and the International Society of Collage Artists.

At the present time I am serving a two-year term as President of the International Society of Experimental Artists.

 

I am always excited about the process of doing art and sometimes travel far to study with exceptional artists.
 


I have taught workshops locally and my work has been exhibited in many national exhibitions as well as in many venues around Michigan and the Traverse City area. It is a constant challenge, but one I enjoy to the fullest.
